Position Descriptions
The following brief descriptions offer an overview of the roles and responsibilities of Committee Chairs. Additional detailed descriptions and qualifications are available for each position.
CAG Chair
The CAG Chair oversees the activities of the Conference Advisory Group which provides multi-year policy and procedural oversight for all conference planning. Additional Information.Conference Chair
The Conference Chair oversees the organization and activities of the conference committee. The Chair leads the rest of the committee to plan and produce the conference. Additional Information.Director
The Directors set the vision for the content of the conference, recruit and oversee subcommittee and project leads. The Directors are responsible for compiling:The directors also manage the selection and review process, either juried or curated. These positions involve recruiting and supervising a subcommittee/jury interacting with contributors on presentation formats, schedules, class notes, managing on-site support, overseeing space design, interaction with contributors, shipping, assembly and tear down of the show. - A collection of leading edge applications and interactive technologies
- A broad spectrum of educational sessions exploring and instructing on innovative uses of computer graphics and interactive techniques
- Sessions where experts in the field debate, dispute, and/or otherwise reflect on the past, present and future of computer graphics and interactive techniques.
Project Lead / Program Chair
Every year the conference has various projects and programs that require leadership. Some, such as those listed below, recur each year while some are created for a specific conference. Project Leads and Program Chairs are recruited and managed by the Directors.Additional Information.

Computer Animation Festival Director
The Festival Director produces an entertaining and informative representation of the highest quality computer animation. The Director recruits and supervises a jury, along with a sub-committee that interacts with contributors on formats, timing and many other editing requirements necessary for final production. The Director will manage on-site presentations in all Festival screening and related talks with the help of the Festival sub-committee. Additional Information.Technical Papers Chair
The Papers chair manages the world's premier forum for the most definitive research in computer graphics and interactive techniques. The chair recruits and supervises a committee of expert reviewers representing a diverse disciplinary field, interacts with contributors on presentation, timing, and other requirements, and coordinates the on-site presentation sessions.
