In an effort to promote computer graphics education and to promote SIGGRAPH, a program to distribute SIGGRAPH publications to educational institutions otherwise unable to afford them has been developed.
To request membership in this outreach program, a letter, on official institution letterhead, should be sent to the current SIGGRAPH Director for Publications, at the following address:

Requests will be evaluated by the SIGGRAPH Director for Publications and the SIGGRAPH Vice-Chair on the basis of economic hardship and computer graphics work undertaken at the educational institution.
Educational institutions approved for membership in this outreach program will receive the SIGGRAPH Technical Conference publications for a period of two years from the date of approval. At the present time, this set of publications includes the Conference Proceedings book and CD-ROM, the Conference Abstracts and Applications book and CD-ROM, and the Electronic Art and Animation Catalog book and CD-ROM.
Suitable promotional material will be shipped with the publications material, encouraging further interaction and initiation of membership in ACM SIGGRAPH.
We encourage your educational institution to consider applying for membership in this outreach program, and thank you for your continuing support of SIGGRAPH and the computer graphics community.
