Unfortunately it was not feasible to the delegation to visit Swaziland,
but Dr. Petros Mashwama, currently Head of the Department of Computer Science,
flew to Johannesburg, met up with the delegation and flew with them to
Durban. Dr. Mashwama was given the presentation in a pub at the airport
while awaiting the flight to Durban. The Computer Science Department is
small (currently 5 final year students), but they are very keen to grow.
Agriculture is very strong in the country and this is reflected with a
large Department of Agriculture at the University. As well as growing his
department, and increasing the amount of computer graphics and visualisation
taught, Dr. Mashwama is also keen to develop multidisciplinary links.
