1997 ACM SIGGRAPH Elections
Candidate Statements

Chair, SIGGRAPH Nominating Committee

SIGGRAPH members have the opportunity to elect colleagues to the important SIGGRAPH positions of Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer. Statements from the six volunteers who have been nominated for these offices follow. By accepting the nomination, these volunteers have shown a major commitment to the SIGGRAPH organization. The SIGGRAPH membership should be grateful that such well qualified people are willing to offer their time and talents to SIGGRAPH.

The ballot, and a reprinting of these candidate statements, will be mailed to all SIGGRAPH members via first class mail around April 1, 1997. The ballots are not included in this newsletter.

We urge you to read the statements, and consider candidate positions. Then, when you receive your ballot, vote for those individuals you feel will best lead SIGGRAPH over the next two years. The terms of office are July 1, 1997 to June 30, 1999.
